The China Automobile Dealers Association, in partnership with Jingzhen Gu, recently published the ‘China’s Auto Resale Value Report for the First Half of 2026’. This report provides detailed resale value rates for vehicles across fuel types—including gasoline-powered, pure electric, and plug-in hybrid models—as well as across various market segments. It serves as a vital reference for consumers making new vehicle purchases and for stakeholders involved in the used car market.
In the pure electric vehicle resale value rankings, the AITO M9 claimed the top position with an impressive 80.41% resale value rate after one year, making it the highest-value pure electric model for the first half of the year. The Li Auto MEGA followed closely in second place, also exceeding an 80% resale value rate, while the Zeekr 009 secured third place with a 78.92% resale value rate.

Remarkably, all three top-ranked pure electric models are premium vehicles priced above RMB 400,000. This highlights the significant competitive edge luxury new energy models possess in terms of brand influence, product quality, and market acceptance, making them particularly sought-after in the used car market.
Beyond the top three, the list features several other popular new energy models, including the Geely Galaxy Starwish, Tesla Model 3, Firefly, LeDao L60, Xiaomi SU7, and Tesla Model Y—all of which have earned spots in the pure electric model resale value rankings.
Turning to plug-in hybrid vehicles, the AITO M9 once again took the lead, achieving an 82.92% one-year resale value rate—even outperforming its pure electric counterpart. Industry experts attribute this to the high sales volume of the AITO M9’s extended-range variant, along with its growing market presence and user trust, which are key factors driving its strong resale performance.
The AITO M8 ranked second with an 81.39% resale value rate, further underscoring the brand’s competitive strength in the premium new energy vehicle segment.

Among the third to seventh positions, the Tank new energy family stood out. The Tank 400 new energy model ranked third, followed by the Tank 500 new energy in fourth, the Buick GL8 PHEV in fifth, and the Tank 700 new energy and Tank 300 new energy models in sixth and seventh place, respectively.
Additionally, models such as the Fangchengbao Leopard 5, Fangchengbao Leopard 8, Beijing BJ40 extended-range, as well as the Li Auto L6, Li Auto L8, and Li Auto L9, all secured spots in the top fifteen for plug-in hybrid vehicle resale value, reflecting their solid market recognition and retained value in the used car sector.
