On July 10, Shanghai Aipu Dingchun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Aipu Dingchun”), a fully-owned subsidiary of Aipu Aromatics Group, entered into a joint venture agreement with Jiangsu Meidong Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jiangsu Meidong”) to jointly establish “Jiangsu Dongpu Chuangxin Semiconductor Co., Ltd.” (pending approval from industrial and commercial authorities). The newly established company boasts a registered capital of RMB 75 million, with Aipu Dingchun holding a 51% stake and Jiangsu Meidong holding a 49% stake.

The joint venture has a well-defined strategic focus, concentrating on three key areas: imaging optics, semiconductor materials, and core components for optical communications. Its operations will encompass a broad spectrum of core categories within the optical semiconductor domain, including glass-based circuit boards, CVD SiC, optical communication components, infrared cut-off filters, glass wafers, and microprisms.

This collaborative endeavor is designed to leverage the respective strengths of both parties in terms of industrial resources and technological prowess, with the aim of strategically positioning themselves within the high-end optoelectronic industry chain. It is anticipated that this partnership will yield differentiated competitiveness in the realm of optical material processing and the localization of semiconductor devices.
