On the evening of August 25, Tianlu Technology unveiled its semi-annual financial report for the first half of 2026. The company reported a revenue of RMB 268 million and a net profit attributable to the parent company of RMB 12.3928 million during this period. Despite variations in terminal demand and volatility in raw material prices for its core business of light guide plates, the company managed to boost its gross profit margin by 5.67 percentage points year-on-year to 25.53% through product mix optimization, laying a robust groundwork for its strategic transformation.

At present, mainland China constitutes over 70% of the global production capacity for panels and polarizers. However, core optical film materials, including TAC film and reflective polarizing brightening film, remain predominantly controlled by Japanese and US firms, which command approximately 80% of the market share, resulting in a significant reliance on imports. Addressing this gap in import substitution, the company revised its fund allocation strategy earlier this year, earmarking RMB 113 million for two major high-end film material projects, accompanied by a 15.63% year-on-year increase in R&D investment in the first half of the year.
The TAC film project is being advanced in collaboration with BOE and Sunnypol, with an initial planned annual production capacity of 60 million square meters. Presently, the main factory building structure has been finalized, and equipment installation and commissioning are in progress. Trial samples have been dispatched to downstream customers for evaluation, with no notable discrepancies reported. By leveraging shareholder resources, the project is poised to expedite its market entry. The reflective polarizing brightening film project entails a total investment of RMB 300 million and aims for an annual production capacity of 24 million square meters. Upon completion, it will challenge the monopoly currently held by overseas manufacturers such as 3M.
The systematic advancement of these two significant projects signifies Tianlu Technology's shift from a sole light guide plate provider to a platform-based optical film material enterprise. As production line commissioning and customer validation continue to make headway, domestically manufactured high-end optical films are anticipated to unlock fresh avenues for growth.
