According to Wuxi's official media outlets, on November 8, JD.com inked an investment pact with the Wuxi New City administration, signifying the formal launch of JD.com's inaugural global super factory dedicated to intelligent logistics robots in Wuxi.
The joint venture, dubbed the "JD.com Wolf Tribe Robotics Global Intelligent Factory," is situated in Wuxi's Xidong New City. Boasting a total investment of roughly 2 billion yuan and sprawling across 100 acres, the factory is slated to kick off production in the first quarter of 2026, aiming for an annual output of tens of thousands of "Wolf Tribe Robots."
This state-of-the-art factory embraces a fully automated production paradigm, with robotic arms and AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) executing over 95% of the tasks. It encompasses a comprehensive industrial ecosystem, encompassing precision component manufacturing, whole-machine assembly, software programming, and scenario-based testing.
Once completed, this project will emerge as the largest and most technologically advanced robot production hub within the JD.com ecosystem.
Li Li, Vice President of JD Logistics, disclosed that the new facility will process 80% of the orders for the two flagship series, "Zhi Lang" and "Tian Lang." The objective is to attain a 50% local supply ratio in Wuxi and forge synergies with existing plants in Beijing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and other strategic locations. This initiative is projected to fuel an annual surge in added value exceeding 10 billion yuan for upstream and downstream sectors.

From a technological standpoint, the Wolf Tribe Robotics Corps teams up with JD Logistics' Super Brain 2.0 AI large model, facilitating intelligent scheduling and seamless coordination in warehousing and logistics operations. Official statistics reveal that during the latest 11.11 shopping spree, the system accomplished second-level order picking, with an impressive 95%+ automation rate spanning the entire logistics chain. Currently, it is operational in over 20 Chinese provinces and more than 10 countries globally.
Industry analysts estimate that JD.com currently operates over 30,000 logistics robots nationwide. With the additional production capacity from the Wuxi base, the number of self-owned robots is anticipated to surpass 100,000 by 2027.
