On January 10, the inaugural "2025 Global Computing Conference - GCC" convened, hosted by the Global Computing Consortium (GCC). With the theme "Empowering the Digital-Intelligent Society through New Computing," the event gathered over 300 academics, industry experts, business leaders, ecological partners, analysts, and renowned media representatives from the global computing sector to witness the official launch of GCC and contribute their wisdom and strength to propel the growth of the global computing industry.
As China's pioneering international industrial and standard organization in computing, GCC has been dedicated to fostering open innovation in the computing industry, constructing a resilient and thriving ecosystem, and supporting the sustainable development of the digital-intelligent society since its official registration on June 26, 2024. Guided by the vision of "Empowering the Digital-Intelligent Society through New Computing" and upholding the values of "Openness, Innovation, Collaboration, and Win-Win," GCC aims to transform the landscape of computing.
In his address, Mei Hong, GCC Council advisor and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, reflected on GCC's establishment and growth, expressing confidence in its future prospects. He firmly believes that GCC will play a pivotal role in advancing global computing technology and industrial ecology.
During the conference, GCC announced the appointment of Gao Wen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as the chairman of the Alliance's Strategic Advisory Committee. In his speech, Gao Wen emphasized that the current era presents the best opportunity for computing power. He noted that while computing power is synonymous with productivity, the "computing power network" serves as a potent tool to efficiently channel and schedule computing resources, standardize protocols, minimize waste, and ensure rapid consumption of computing power.
As a governing unit and gold member of GCC, Kylin Software, a domestic operating system enterprise, participated in the unveiling of several high-quality achievements, including the "Confidential Computing White Paper (2024)" and the "Green Computing Industry Development White Paper (2024)." Kylin also delivered a keynote speech on "Intelligent Computing Operating System in the Era of Comprehensive Intelligence," actively offering suggestions and recommendations to accelerate the flourishing of the computing industry ecosystem.
In the AI era, the intelligent computing operating system, fueled by AI capabilities, effectively manages and utilizes hardware computing resources, supporting essential operations such as model training, model inference, data access, and management. Furthermore, an intelligent computing operating system that supports domestic CPUs/GPUs and enables multi-source heterogeneous AI computing power fosters innovative development in domestic AI software and hardware. The Kylin intelligent computing operating system continues to expand its ecosystem, jointly constructing a secure and reliable intelligent computing power base, enhancing model training and inference across more vertical fields, and supporting the realization of AI applications in numerous industries.
The official launch of GCC has demonstrated the robust momentum of its vigorous development, jointly exploring the boundless potential of the computing industry's future. Standing at a new global industry milestone, Kylin Software will continue to collaborate with GCC to accelerate the prosperity of the global computing industry and contribute significantly to the advancement of the global digital-intelligent society!
