On August 19, a statement signed by "Yishide (Beijing) Medical Technology Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "Yishide") circulated on the internet.
The statement said that Yishide would stop all business activities with Lixiang Auto (Chehejia) and would collaborate with Huawei in the field of smart vehicle systems, while blocking Lixiang Auto and its partners' AI health-related applications. It also implicated Lixiang Auto's CEO, stating that it would "regularly publish Li Xiang's body data trained and identified based on publicly available internet data. If Mr. Li Xiang does not intervene, he will die of liver cancer in the near future."
In response, the Legal Department of Lixiang Auto stated today that it has never conducted any business negotiations or collaborations with Yishide, and that in response to the online rumors spread by Yishide, Lixiang Auto has already called the police.
According to Lixiang Auto's reconstruction, the sequence of events is as follows:
On a day in June 2024, while Mr. Li Xiang was dining out, a passerby claiming to be a Lixiang Auto owner took a group photo with him.
On the evening of June 22, 2024, posters falsely claiming that Lixiang Auto was collaborating with Yishide on AI medical applications began to appear on various online platforms, along with the group photo with Mr. Li Xiang.
On June 25, 2024, Lixiang Auto sent a lawyer's letter to Yishide, demanding that they cease the infringement and bear the corresponding legal responsibilities.
On July 3, 2024, Zhou X, who claimed to be a staff member of Yishide, contacted the Legal Department of Lixiang Auto. During the communication regarding apologies, Zhou proposed a marketing plan based on the incident, which was rejected by Lixiang Auto.
On July 6, 2024, Zhou issued an apology letter stamped with Yishide's seal.
On July 12, 2024, the Legal Department of Lixiang Auto issued an official statement reminding consumers not to be deceived.
On August 19, 2024, Lixiang Auto discovered that Yishide's "Solemn Declaration" had appeared on platforms such as Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Weibo, again falsely claiming that Yishide would cease all cooperation with Lixiang Auto and block Lixiang Auto, and making false statements about Mr. Li Xiang's health.
On August 20, 2024, Lixiang Auto reported the matter to the public security organ.
