At 9:45 on September 13th, SpaceX launched the 192nd batch of 21 Starlink V2 Mini satellites, bringing the total number of launches to 7,022.
Of these, 13 support direct mobile phone connections, bringing the total number of such satellites to 207.
The Falcon 9 rocket used this time had the first-stage booster designation B1071.18, which had already completed 18 launches, including 10 Starlink, 3 US national security satellites, and 2 rideshare missions.
The recovery was successful, marking the 101st landing of the OCISLY unmanned barge and the 348th booster landing.
Five days later, at 6:50 am on September 18th, SpaceX launched two Galileo navigation satellites for the EU, marking the second Galileo satellite launch by SpaceX since April of this year.
The two satellites launched this time are the 31st and 32nd in the Galileo constellation, built by Airbus, weighing 2.3 tonnes each, with an expected lifespan of 15 years.
The rocket used for the launch was designated B1067.22 and had already completed 22 launches, including 2 crewed missions to the International Space Station, 2 cargo missions, and 12 Starlink launches.
Interestingly, the booster B1060.20 used for the previous Galileo satellite launch was not recovered.
As of now, SpaceX has completed 92 launches in 2024, including 89 Falcon 9, 1 Falcon Heavy, and 2 Starship launches, with 62 being Starlink launches.
