TechFast News, July 24 - According to media reports, Samsung is set to unveil the new generation of Galaxy Tab S10 series, with the Galaxy Tab S10+ currently under testing and equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, marking a shift from its previous exclusive use of Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.
It is understood that this is the first time Samsung has incorporated a MediaTek chip into its flagship tablet, with a release expected around October. The tablet will be available in gray and silver colors.
In-depth analysis by industry experts points out that the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ offers unprecedented competitiveness for Samsung tablets due to its outstanding performance and more affordable price (approximately 10% lower) compared to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 series.
This collaboration not only provides MediaTek with an excellent platform to showcase its technological prowess among global top brands but also heralds the possibility of a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership between the two parties.
Samsung's move is also a crucial step in its diversified supply chain strategy. By introducing MediaTek as a new chip supplier, Samsung aims to reduce its reliance on a single supplier, strengthening its bargaining power in procurement negotiations and adding flexibility and initiative to future market competition.
Meanwhile, Samsung's self-developed chip efforts continue with the Exynos 2500 in active development, expected to power the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones, further reducing reliance on external chip suppliers and safeguarding the profitability of its smartphone business.
