A decade ago, the phrase 'the wind has changed' stirred up many players. This was followed by a surge of new force automakers with great momentum. According to incomplete statistics, at its peak, there were over 300 registered brands alone. As we can see, after rounds of shuffling, not many new force automakers remain in the game. However, it must be said that their success has embodied the spirit of 'No one helps me climb to the clouds, but I myself tread on snow to reach the mountaintop'.
Lixiang One sold 51,443 units in October, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%, which is commendable. On the evening of October 31, Lixiang One announced its third-quarter financial results for 2024, with both revenue and delivery volumes reaching record highs. Specifically, Lixiang One delivered 152,800 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 45.4%, with revenue reaching 42.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%, and a net profit of 2.8 billion yuan, marking the eighth consecutive quarter of profitability.
HarmonyOS Intelligent Drive delivered 41,643 new vehicles in October, with a cumulative delivery of 500,000 new vehicles in 32 months.
Leap Motor delivered a cumulative total of 38,177 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 109.7%, setting new delivery records consecutively. Order performance was also impressive, with monthly orders exceeding 42,000 vehicles in October. Among them, orders for the C10, C11, and C16 all exceeded 10,000 units.
XPeng Motors delivered a cumulative total of 23,917 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 20% and a month-on-month increase of 12%. Among them, the XPeng MONA 03 was the biggest contributor, with sales exceeding 10,000 units for two consecutive months after its launch. From January to October, XPeng Motors delivered a cumulative total of 122,478 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 21%.
NIO, once part of the "WEI-XIAO-LI" trio, has been performing averagely. However, it still delivered a cumulative total of 20,976 vehicles in October, surpassing 20,000 units for six consecutive months.
Xiaomi Auto, of course, is in my opinion, the most impressive. Its delivery volume exceeded 20,000 units in October, marking the first time that the monthly delivery volume of this model has surpassed this threshold. I say Xiaomi Auto is impressive because Xiaomi Auto currently only has one model on sale, the Xiaomi SU7, and its price is not cheap for a new energy vehicle. Moreover, Xiaomi Auto has been able to complete capacity layout and ramp-up within a short period, which is quite remarkable.
In conclusion, this is a moment of glory for all new force automakers and a victory for China's new energy vehicle industry chain. It is rare to see such vibrant competition driving the Chinese auto market to flourish. As an automotive industry professional, I am delighted to witness this. The rise of new force automakers has shown the world the strength of domestic suppliers and the power of China's entire new energy vehicle supply chain. I wish Chinese automakers continued success and prosperity.
