Kuaikeji, August 11 - Insider information from tech bloggers indicates that the standard edition of the vivo X500 will abandon the prominent central circular camera module, opting instead for a circular camera design positioned in the top-left corner. This move signifies that the X500, to some extent, harks back to the classic design layout of the X90 series.

Casting our minds back to the vivo X90, which was launched in November 2022, it boasted a circular DECO design in the top-left corner, complemented by the distinctive 'Ribbon Cloud Stage' waistline on the rear panel. This waistline ingeniously divides the phone's body into a photography zone and a grip area, adhering to the golden ratio, and is adorned with the phrase 'Xtreme Imagination,' rendering it highly distinctive and a key visual hallmark of the X90 series.

At present, it remains unclear whether the X500 will replicate the 'Ribbon Cloud Stage' waistline design of the X90. However, there is little doubt about the fundamental layout direction of its camera module. Notably, the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max will continue to feature the central circular camera module design, thereby establishing a clear design differentiation from the standard version on the rear.

In terms of hardware specifications, the vivo X500 will make its debut with the Dimensity 9600 chip. According to reports, the Dimensity 9600 is a variant of the Dimensity 9500, fabricated using TSMC's cutting-edge 3nm process. It comprises 4 ultra-large cores and 4 performance cores, with an anticipated AnTuTu benchmark score surpassing 4 million points. Conversely, the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max will be equipped with the even more advanced 2nm chip, the Dimensity 9600 Pro, which features a novel 2+6 core architecture and is expected to achieve even higher benchmark scores.

Currently, the vivo X500 series has obtained network access approval, bearing the model number V2609A. The device has also registered multiple AI large-scale models, including the in-house developed Blue Heart Large Model, Zhipu AI, ERNIE Bot, Doubao Large Model, DeepSeek, and Tongyi Qianwen.
