Meet the Nubia RedMagic 11S Pro+.

In my view, Nubia stands out as one of the few manufacturers that consistently pursue semi-generational upgrades, fearlessly embracing new technologies to offer users fresh upgrade options.

I truly admire this bold and experimental approach.

This time around, the RedMagic 11S Pro+ not only features core overclocking but also enhances overall performance, battery life, and cooling capabilities. Coupled with Nubia's performance tuning, I have high hopes for its gaming experience.

So, can this RedMagic live up to everyone's expectations in terms of gaming?

Moreover, although it's a gaming phone, daily usability is inevitable. How does the RedMagic 11S Pro+ fare in everyday use, beyond gaming? Below, Leitech (ID: leitech) shares their experience.

A Robust Design That Feels Great in Hand

It's not even early summer, and the outdoor temperature in Guangzhou is already nearing 32°C. Standing still outside, I can already work up a sweat, let alone carrying two phones around in the afternoon, as I did.

As for why I carried two phones... well, just in case the RedMagic runs out of battery, I need a backup plan, right?

I must say, the RedMagic feels as sharp as ever in hand.

The transparent flat back panel boasts a silver brushed metal finish, with the most eye-catching feature being the massive liquid cooling ring in the middle. Paired with the shoulder buttons and the red 'Competition Key' on the side, you can instantly access the gaming space with one touch, emphasizing the phone's gaming orientation.

Especially when placed next to a regular phone, this device truly stands out. Regardless of aesthetic preferences, it offers maximum recognizability and likely aligns with the tastes of most male consumers.

In the past year or two, few devices have surprised me with their freshness, but the RedMagic 11S Pro+ is undoubtedly one of them.

However, the front and rear quad-camera setup remains unchanged from the previous generation and is likely to stay that way for the next generation as well.

As for the highly recognizable under-display camera, the RedMagic 11S Pro+ does not disappoint. In both indoor and outdoor environments during the day, regardless of the angle, I couldn't see where the front camera was. Only in completely dark environments could I barely make out its presence.

I must say, this is pretty impressive. The seamless screen provides a strong sense of immersion when gaming or watching videos.

The key point is that the screen on this year's RedMagic 11 series feels significantly improved in terms of clarity and brightness. Even under direct sunlight at noon, reading text was no problem.

But gaming is a different story, especially in games like Delta Force with many dark areas, which can be a bit uncomfortable.

This time, it still uses a Synaptics touch IC, with a daily touch sampling rate of 180Hz and a gaming touch sampling rate of 360Hz. The actual performance met expectations, feeling responsive enough in competitive games (like Delta Force, LOLM), at least not affecting my gaming experience.

However, the maximum screen refresh rate of 144Hz is slightly behind the times for 2026.

To explore its daily usability, I used the RedMagic 11S Pro+ continuously for nearly a week. Personally, I didn't find the grip feel of the RedMagic 11S Pro+ to be overly exaggerated. At least its weight and thickness are similar to the phones I use daily.

Well, I guess that's just the perk of being a flagship phone enthusiast.

However, there are two points I really want to highlight (complain about). First, the edges are too square, which can be a bit uncomfortable against the palm. It's more suitable for holding rather than gripping. Second, due to the presence of the shoulder buttons, the overall button placement is lower. I've accidentally pressed the volume down button instead of the power button many times, which does require some adaptation.

There are no issues with other aspects. It supports IPX8 water resistance, 3D fingerprint recognition, a 3.5mm headphone jack, haptic feedback speakers, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface. These traditional advantages are all solid, and it even supports 80W wireless charging.

If you don't care much about imaging, the daily usability of this generation's RedMagic 11S Pro+ is actually quite satisfactory.

Can Dual Air and Liquid Cooling Withstand 32°C Heat?

Of course, we didn't bring the RedMagic out just for making calls or browsing short videos.

Those who have experienced the RedMagic Pro series before may know that its main focus is on gaming and active cooling. The fan truly does its job, keeping the temperature low and frame rates stable during gaming.

This time, not only does it use the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition, but it also adopts a new liquid flow channel design with visual processing, allowing you to clearly see the coolant flow.

The principle of this water-cooling system is the same as that in PCs, but the way it works is different. Its main function is to evenly distribute heat rather than directly contacting the chip. Instead, it directs heat from the left chip area to the right area and then rapidly dissipates it with a larger cooling area after heat equalization.

As for the actual effect, let me show you the test results.

At a room temperature of 25°C, the RedMagic 11S Pro+ scored a whopping 4.28 million points in AnTuTu, the highest score we've seen for the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite at room temperature.

Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S26, which uses the same initial frequency processor, it's 15% higher.

I found a random spot in the park, set the phone to Smart Air Cooling mode, turned on liquid cooling, and dived into our gaming session.

In League of Legends: Wild Rift, I played three consecutive ARAM matches, and the average frame rate was an astonishing 144 FPS.

Starting from the middle of the second ARAM match, the RedMagic 11S Pro+'s air cooling intensity was cranked up high.

The built-in fan noise is around 48 decibels at full speed, which is quite noticeable indoors but barely noticeable outdoors, easily drowned out by ambient noise.

Analyzing the frame rate graph, we found that except for unavoidable frame drops during team fights, the game consistently ran at 144 FPS, often even reaching 150 FPS.

The highest temperature on the front of the phone was 37.6°C, while the back only reached 33.9°C.

It's clear that thanks to the dual air and liquid cooling design, the back of the phone is well-cooled and doesn't have the traditional hotspot at the top of the phone.

This only shows that even with all settings maxed out on Tencent's side, this moderate gaming demand still can't fully utilize the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite.

After a ten-minute break, we continued to push it harder.

This time, we enabled HD+ 144 FPS mode and played two consecutive rounds of Delta Force's 'Operation Flamepoint,' with an average frame rate of 142 FPS and a power consumption of 4.05W. Its 1% Low frame rate also remained stable at 120 FPS, indicating consistent performance throughout.

The phone's temperature was also fine, reaching 38.2°C, with the entire back feeling warm.

It's worth mentioning that while playing Delta Force, I found the gaming shoulder buttons on the RedMagic 11S Pro+ quite practical, especially for aiming and shooting, which felt much more comfortable and even made me feel like my aiming was more accurate.

Well, that might be an illusion, but I really don't like the feeling of tapping on the glass with four fingers.

Next, as usual, we let it cool down for ten minutes, then switched to Rapid Cooling mode. It was time to fire up Wuthering Waves!

As one of the few phones on the market that supports high frame rates, we naturally had to test its native 90 FPS performance first.

This test was quite a surprise. First, there was a conflict between the 90 FPS setting in Wuthering Waves and the phone's native refresh rate. I couldn't figure out why the game wouldn't run at 90 FPS until I checked Bilibili and found out I had to change the refresh rate to 120Hz.

Second, the performance requirements for native 90 FPS in Wuthering Waves were surprisingly high. The average power consumption was close to 8-9W during the test. I could only play for about 15 minutes outdoors before giving up. The final average frame rate was 72 FPS, with significant fluctuations in the frame rate curve. The RedMagic 11S Pro+ also got quite hot, reaching around 47.5°C.

Fortunately, the RedMagic also offers a frame interpolation option.

Setting the game to native 60 FPS and enabling 120Hz frame interpolation reduced the average power consumption to around 6W. Personally, I didn't notice any significant motion blur or input lag, with an average frame rate of 119.87 FPS.

Looking at the curve, there were indeed some frame rate fluctuations, with an actual temperature of 42.3°C. The overall experience was still acceptable.

Finally, I also tested Endfield for half an hour at maximum settings with medium rendering. This game was strange—it felt sticky throughout, but the frame rate was surprisingly stable, with an average of 58.8 FPS and even lower power consumption than Delta Force.

Moreover, the phone didn't feel hot at all. I have to say, I'm impressed by HyperGryph's mysterious optimization.

After these four rounds of gaming tests, most of the afternoon had passed, and the RedMagic 11S Pro+ had performed quite well in terms of frame rates. It seems that the air cooling + liquid cooling setup really does its job.

To think that my previous main phone couldn't even maintain 50 FPS in Wuthering Waves without performance mode.

Imaging is Unremarkable, but the System Has Improved

Apart from its innovative hardware, the phone's built-in system features also significantly enhance the gaming experience.

For example, there's a feature called 'Mojie Voice Assistant' that can even help you trash-talk your teammates in-game.

There's also a Quick Stopwatch feature for tracking hero ultimate cooldowns, a gacha assistant for card games, a crosshair assistant for FPS games to help with aiming, and an AI Trigger for intelligent reload—it's all about comprehensive assistance.

However, I mainly tested the assistant feature linkage with Doubao (an AI assistant).

For each different game, RedMagic provides a separate assistant. You can ask questions like how to control recoil for the AK or how to build Lucian.

Upon checking, I realized that since LOLM had recently updated, the strategies were no longer fully applicable, but it did save me the trouble of opening a browser to search.

Of course, since it's a ZTE product, some might wonder if the RedMagic 11S Pro+ also has Doubao Agent capabilities, like helping with daily mobile game tasks.

The answer is no, and even if it did, it would probably get banned by game companies.

Huh? Do you think that's all this phone can do?

No, no, no. As a hardcore gaming phone, RedMagic has packed it with plenty of features, like PC emulator support.During actual testing, the colors in daytime photos appeared somewhat subdued, lacking particular vibrancy in terms of color tuning. When it came to nighttime shots, the device struggled to capture details in shadowy areas, rendering them merely adequate for documenting daily activities.

Finally, let's delve into the battery performance.

After a day filled with gaming, photography, video watching, and standby time extending into the evening, the device still retained 39% of its battery charge. This indicates that it should comfortably last through one and a half to two days of regular daily use.

In our tests, the 120W wired fast-charging capability was able to fully replenish the battery in under an hour, a feature that is relatively uncommon in today's smartphone market.

Summary: A Powerhouse Flagship for Dedicated Gamers

Following Leikeji's established practice, let's summarize the strengths and weaknesses of the RedMagic 11S Pro+:

Strengths:

1. Exceptional performance, bolstered by outstanding active cooling technology;

2. Distinctive and unique product design.

Weaknesses:

1. Imaging capabilities have not seen significant improvement, with limited usability for the front-facing camera;

2. The 7500mAh battery, while substantial, is no longer a standout feature in the current market.

Regarding pricing, the initial sale price starts at 6199 yuan. If government subsidies are available in your region, you can enjoy an additional discount of 500 yuan. Does this meet your expectations?

In my view, with its air and liquid cooling system, flat-edged design, and full-screen display, the RedMagic 11S Pro+ stands out as one of the most unique smartphones available this year.

Beyond its flagship-level hardware specifications, the exclusive tuning and system enhancements further solidify its traditional strengths in gaming.

Even as air cooling makes a comeback in mainstream devices, this product remains the top contender for gamers seeking optimal performance.

At the same time, it's important to note that the RedMagic 11S Pro+ is not a universal fit for all users.

If your gaming habits are limited to casual titles like Candy Crush, you enjoy capturing landscape and portrait photos, and you are particularly sensitive to the weight of your phone, this bulky device may not be the best choice for you.

However, if you are a dedicated gamer who spends several hours immersed in gaming every day, if you prioritize frame rate stability and dislike the subpar experience of lag due to device overheating, or if you simply cannot tolerate any unnecessary screen interruptions like punch holes.

Then the RedMagic 11S Pro+, with its built-in liquid cooling fan, true full-screen display, and massive battery, is nearly the perfect solution currently available in the market.

In an era where many products seem to mimic one another, having a device that stands out with distinct characteristics is truly refreshing.
