The other side of job rotation training executives is that it will break the stable development of the original department
On October 8, Baidu internally announced a new round of management rotations: Luo Rong (Julius), Executive Vice President of Baidu Group, was appointed as the head of the Mobile Ecosystem Group (MEG) through job rotation, and no longer served as the Group CFO. At the same time, the Health Care Group (HCG) was merged into MEG. He Junjie (Jackson), Senior Vice President of Baidu Group, took over as Acting CFO through job rotation and no longer served as head of MEG.
The email shows that in the future, Luo Rong will lead the MEG team to adhere to long-termism, further realize the advantageous combination of AI technology and front-end products, and continue to explore and develop AI applications.
In addition, the "intelligent ecology" is mentioned many times in the internal letter, which is regarded by the industry as Baidu's next explosion point in the era of AI. The internal letter stated that under the new situation of the rapid development of the intelligent ecology, it is expected that the health business of HCG will be deeply integrated with the mobile ecology of MEG to complement each other's advantages. At the same time, it is also expected that Luo Rong will lead MEG to build a more prosperous and powerful intelligent ecology for Baidu.
He Junjie, who has both relevant business management experience in MEG and has rotated through departments such as mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments, will lead the finance team to support Baidu's business development.
It is worth mentioning that HCG, which has been merged into MEG this time, has carried out an intelligent ecological layout for patients, hospitals, and doctors, and accelerated the acceleration of new drug launches based on the daily search volume of 300 million medical PV. At present, Baidu Health has become one of the largest clinical trial recruitment platforms in the country, covering more than 4,000 clinical enrollment projects and providing "medication" opportunities for 100,000 patients.
It is understood that Baidu launched the management rotation system as early as 2011, and has carried out management rotations every two or three years in response to the ever-changing market by introducing the OKR performance management system, adjusting the to B organizational structure, and advocating the rejuvenation of cadres.
