As new energy vehicles (NEVs) gain increasing traction, the demand for intercity, long-distance travel continues to surge. Challenges such as the "difficulty in locating charging stations, long waiting lines, and sluggish energy replenishment" on expressways have emerged as key bottlenecks impeding users' eco-friendly travel. To tackle the energy replenishment dilemma during expressway journeys, besides setting up flash charging stations within expressway service zones, BYD has innovatively introduced flash charging stations outside expressway areas. These stations have been strategically launched in several provinces and cities, including Anhui, Fujian, and Guangdong, providing NEV owners with an efficient and hassle-free energy replenishment solution for long-distance trips.
BYD's flash charging stations outside expressway areas are strategically positioned within 1 kilometer of expressway entrances and exits. Vehicle owners can conveniently recharge their vehicles before entering the expressway, during mid-journey exits, or after exiting the expressway, thus sidestepping traffic congestion and long queues at charging piles in service areas. They can benefit from the same service fee standards as in urban areas, saving both money and time without the need to wait in line. Leveraging the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, vehicles can experience a swift energy replenishment of "5 minutes for a quick top-up, 9 minutes for a full charge." Users can fully recharge their vehicles with just a brief pause, significantly cutting down waiting times and comprehensively boosting the efficiency of long-distance travel.

The concentrated rollout of flash charging stations outside expressway areas in multiple provinces and cities marks BYD's official establishment of a flash charging expressway energy replenishment system that integrates "flash charging expressway stations + stations outside expressway areas." This move further narrows the gap in charging infrastructure resources along national expressway corridors and further improves the comprehensive, all-scenario national flash charging ecosystem network.
BYD will persist in advancing its "Flash Charging China" strategy, expediting the large-scale deployment of flash charging stations across the country. It aims to install 20,000 flash charging stations by the year-end, creating a dense and efficient national energy replenishment network. By capitalizing on its leading flash charging technology and well-established infrastructure layout, BYD will further lower the barriers to long-distance travel in NEVs, fostering the widespread adoption of NEVs and offering users a more carefree and liberated travel experience.
