On August 5, Zunjie, a brand under Harmony Intelligent Mobility, officially unveiled its two flagship MPVs—the V800 and V680. The V680 starts at RMB 648,000, while the V800 ranges from RMB 766,000 to RMB 1,016,000, with top-tier configurations reaching RMB 1,166,000. This marks the first instance of a domestic model breaking into the ultra-luxury MPV segment priced over RMB 1 million. Both models come standard with Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 system and a six-LiDAR array. At the launch event, Yu Chengdong explicitly stated that the vehicles’ hardware fully meets the technical requirements for L3 autonomous driving deployment.

With MPVs priced around RMB 1 million no longer exclusive to Toyota Alphard and Lexus LM, as domestic MPVs venture into the seven-figure price range for the first time, and with L3 autonomous driving on the horizon, is the ultra-luxury MPV market poised for a complete overhaul?
The Zunjie V800/V680 not only push the price ceiling but also introduce an entirely new value evaluation system. On the balance between intelligence and luxury, domestic MPVs are attempting to redefine what it means to be the pinnacle.

How Do These Two Intelligent, High-End MPVs Perform?
From a product perspective, the Zunjie V800 and V680 represent the pinnacle of current domestic MPV technology and configuration. Both models are built on the Tuling Longxing MAEXTRO platform, featuring a 1.5T range extender and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined peak power of 390kW, achieving 0-100km/h acceleration in the 4-second range. Paired with a 65kWh CATL ternary lithium battery, the V680 offers a combined range of 1,208km, while the V800 extends this to 1,335km. In terms of dimensions, the V680 measures 5,320×2,006×1,850mm with a 3,290mm wheelbase; the V800 measures 5,495×2,006×1,850mm with a 3,430mm wheelbase. The V800’s cabin provides a maximum longitudinal space of 3,856mm and second-row legroom of 1,138mm. The chassis employs a front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension, equipped with air springs, dual-valve continuously variable damping shock absorbers, and an 800V fully active suspension; the V800 also supports ±12° rear-wheel steering and crab mode, with a turning radius of just 5.4 meters.
Intelligent driving is the core differentiator for Zunjie’s dual offerings. Both models come standard with Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5, featuring 40 sensors, including an 896-line dual-optical-path image-grade LiDAR, in-cabin laser vision radar, four high-precision solid-state LiDARs, and a distributed 4D millimeter-wave radar matrix. The V800 is equipped with six LiDARs (including in-cabin LiDAR), earning it the title of ‘the world’s first million-class MPV supporting conditional autonomous driving at 120km/h.’ Developed from the ground up for L3 conditional autonomous driving, the vehicles feature full-chain redundancy in computing platforms, power systems, braking systems, and steering systems. The series has obtained L3 autonomous driving test licenses in Hefei, with actual L3 functionality to be released via OTA pending national regulatory approval.

Order data confirms initial market acceptance of this product logic. Pre-sales for the V800 and V680 began on June 25, with orders surpassing 3,200 units within the first hour and reaching 4,800 units in 24 hours. Over 23 days of pre-sales, cumulative orders exceeded 10,000 units, with the V800 accounting for approximately 80%. In the first hour of official sales, firm orders reached 2,115 units. For comparison, Zunjie’s previous S800 model recorded 2,108 orders in 48 hours of pre-sales—the V800/V680 surpassed this figure in just one hour, underscoring their market heat.

How Can High-End MPVs Break Through?
The current high-end MPV market is at a delicate crossroads of ‘supply expansion and demand contraction.’ In 2026, over seven new mid-to-high-end MPV models entered the market, a 40% increase from the previous year, while overall MPV sales declined by 15.6% year-on-year in the first five months. Analysts suggest that total MPV sales in 2026 will likely fall below one million units, with the market unable to sustain a dozen brands competing in the premium segment above RMB 250,000. Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, also noted that mid-to-low-end MPVs have been significantly impacted by the diversion of new energy logistics vehicles, leading to sharp sales declines, though the high-end MPV segment remains stronger than the overall market.
Specific data reveals that in the first half of 2026, among MPVs priced above RMB 200,000, the Toyota Sienna led with 41,726 units sold, followed by the Wey High Mountain (30,156 units), Granvia (27,537 units), Tengshi D9 (24,694 units), and Voyah Dreamer (23,956 units). In the ultra-luxury MPV segment above RMB 1 million, the Toyota Alphard sold 4,556 units in the first half of 2026, while the Lexus LM sold 1,941 units. Notably, the Alphard sold just 554 units in March 2026, a sharp decline from its peak annual sales of over 20,000 units—eroding the market foundation of traditional ultra-luxury MPVs and creating a window of opportunity for Zunjie.

△ The Market Foundation of Traditional Ultra-Luxury MPVs Is Eroding
However, challenges remain significant. In the core price range of RMB 300,000 to RMB 600,000, over ten models—including the Tengshi D9, Voyah Dreamer, Zeekr 009, and Li Auto MEGA—have established a dense presence. The Zeekr 009 dominates the pure electric MPV market above RMB 400,000, while the Li Auto MEGA continues to explore the high-end pure electric MPV segment above RMB 500,000. The Smart Vision V9, launched in May 2026, surpassed 10,000 monthly deliveries in July with an average transaction price of RMB 500,000. Zunjie’s V800/V680 adopt a more ‘aggressive’ positioning—spanning the RMB 650,000 to RMB 1 million price band, nearly covering the entire core range of the domestic high-end MPV market. This price range is unprecedented for domestic MPVs but means confronting both the brand barriers of traditional ultra-luxury MPVs like the Alphard and LM and the competitive diversion (market diversion) from domestic high-end MPVs like the Tengshi D9 and Zeekr 009 across broader price segments.
Can Zunjie’s V800/V680 break through? While the ‘price markup faith’ surrounding traditional ultra-luxury MPVs is crumbling and consumer resistance to ‘domestic million-class’ models is gradually being dismantled by pioneers like the Zunjie S800, the annual capacity of the ultra-luxury MPV market remains limited. Models like the Alphard and Lexus LM, with their years of accumulated reputation and social recognition, serve as ‘invisible calling cards’ in high-end social settings—a brand moat that cannot be easily breached by mere configuration pile-up (piling) in the short term.
Commentary
Overall, the launch of the Zunjie V800/V680 marks the first time a domestic MPV has systematically challenged the ultra-luxury segment priced over RMB 1 million. While they may not instantly ‘shatter’ the ceiling of the ultra-luxury MPV market, they have, at the very least, torn open cracks in three dimensions—intelligent driving, cabin experience, and new energy propulsion—in a market that has long remained stagnant.
