On January 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's official website released the preliminary findings of the audit for the 2022 subsidy disbursement related to the promotion and application of new energy vehicles. According to the announcement, this subsidy encompasses 31 provinces and cities, covering 175 enterprises. In this round of audits, automotive companies declared a total of 283,000 new energy vehicles, with 249,000 vehicles successfully passing the audit and qualifying for a total subsidy of 2.7 billion yuan.

The announcement further elucidates the reasons behind the reduction in subsidies, primarily including: failure to meet mileage standards, pending further verification prior to settlement, non-compliance with vehicle operation data upload requirements, non-compliant sales receipts, vehicle registration dates preceding the effective date of the recommended catalog, duplicate declarations, and other irregularities. These factors have resulted in a decrease in the allocated subsidy funds for certain vehicles.

Regarding the advance allocation of funds, five enterprises—Beijing Sanitation Group Sanitation Equipment Co., Ltd., Zhejiang CRRC Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., Chengli Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd., and Lanzhou Guangtong New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd.—will not receive their advance payments due to the aforementioned reasons for subsidy reduction.
