Rooted in China, Making Waves Worldwide

In 2024, BYD achieved remarkable sales of over 4.27 million vehicles, maintaining its position as the top automaker in China's domestic market, the top-selling brand in China, and the leading automaker in the global new energy vehicle market. From humble beginnings to the forefront, BYD has proven for 22 years that a battery-making enterprise can excel in automobile manufacturing, that new energy holds immense potential, and that Chinese automobiles can shine brightly. As a pioneer and leader in new energy, BYD is committed to creating electrification technology for the Chinese people, telling Chinese culture, and building Chinese brands. Today, Chinese automobiles stand at the center of the world stage, playing an increasingly significant role. BYD represents Chinese brands in continuously enhancing their competitiveness domestically and internationally, making Chinese manufacturing more confident on the global stage.

Within BYD's five-network and four-brand matrix, the Dynasty Network embodies BYD's profound thinking and practice of Chinese culture, along with the responsibility to innovate and inherit the Chinese cultural heritage. Han and Tang embody BYD's aspirations and depiction of a prosperous era. Since their inception, the Han family has swiftly surpassed sales milestones of 20,000 and 30,000 units, becoming the double champion in the B+C-segment sedan market for three consecutive years. The Tang family has also reigned as the double champion in the large seven-seater SUV market for three consecutive years, becoming the top choice in the 200,000-yuan home SUV market. Unwavering in their direction, Han and Tang are not only the backbone of the Dynasty Network's cumulative sales exceeding 7 million units but have also become iconic Chinese automobiles shining on the world stage, driving the rise of Chinese automobiles and showcasing their power to the world, much like the splendid prosperity of the Han and Tang dynasties in history.

The Evolution of LOONG FACE Dragon Face Aesthetics: Making Design a Carrier of Civilization

In this new era, the Dynasty Network leverages technology to drive innovation and design to embody culture, gathering momentum to forge ahead. As the saying goes, Chinese automobiles should have a Chinese look. Han L and Tang L are deeply rooted in Chinese culture, drawing inspiration from nature, and named as flagship models of the prosperous era, creating a sense of sophistication intrinsic to the Chinese bloodline. With the advent of Han L and Tang L, BYD Dynasty Network's new concepts of "Inheritance, Resonance, and Balance" have emerged.

In terms of inheritance, the Dynasty Network takes the Chinese nation's spiritual totem "dragon" as its foundation and builds upon it, inheriting more unique symbols belonging to China. In terms of resonance, the Dynasty Network aims to organically integrate aesthetic symbols from traditional culture with modern aesthetics, incorporating the Chinese philosophy of harmony between man and nature into its design. In terms of balance, the Dynasty Network applies the use of proportion as an understanding derived from Chinese philosophy, adhering to the ultimate pursuit of balance and unity in all aspects, from lines and colors to senses and experiences.

In design details, the iconic dragon face aesthetic front face of the Han and Tang families has officially been upgraded to LOONG FACE on Han L and Tang L, not only marking the reshaping of new car styling design from the inside out with Chinese culture but also embodying national and cultural confidence. The dragon whisker design is more three-dimensional and tensile, with slender whiskers extending to the sides, making the entire front face appear wider and more imposing. In terms of lighting, the new car's lighting design draws inspiration from the "square pupils" in Chinese culture, adding the finishing touch and giving the overall dragon face design a high degree of recognition and vitality.

On the sides of the car, Han L and Tang L innovatively use the calligraphy stroke with strong cultural attributes to carve out a simple and pure side view, naturally presenting a smooth, atmospheric, and solid body appearance. At the rear, the new car extends the unique traditional cultural feature of Chinese knots, taking shapes from phoenix feathers and traditional bamboo weaving techniques, and naming them "Phoenix Feather" and "Bamboo Rhythm," respectively. The lighting surface has a strong three-dimensional sense, creating a dynamic highlight that complements the body line design and subtly reveals the beauty of traditional culture and craftsmanship.

From dragons to phoenixes, from porcelain to bamboo, Han L and Tang L depict their appearance with Chinese culture and fully integrate the sense of national fashion into the interior. The interior design inspiration of the new car as a whole comes from the hip roof in traditional Chinese architecture, embodying both the shape of the "ridge" and the meaning of the "backbone." With the concept of "harmony between man and nature," it creatively connects the physical space concepts of architecture and vehicles, creating a flagship-level cabin space most suitable for Chinese users, known as "Under the Hip Roof, a Grand Hall."

In terms of actual sensory experience, Han L and Tang L are extremely spacious and comfortable. Han L boasts a body size of 5050*1960*1505mm and a wheelbase of 2970mm, making it a standard "532" sedan with ample interior space. Tang L, on the other hand, has a body size of 5040*1996*1760mm and a wheelbase of 2950mm, providing users with superior space enjoyment and coming standard with the "strongest seven-seater space magic" across the entire lineup, allowing users to freely switch between the "large five-seater configuration" and the "flexible configuration."

In terms of material selection, Han L and Tang L are exquisitely crafted. The new car adopts 3D bamboo wood as a new interior material, creating an elegant visual effect inside the car through the embellishment of bamboo wood veneers and showcasing the unique taste and cultural heritage of Chinese design. The instrument panel uses a leather + knitted fabric process, making the touch feel softer, and the inside of the armrest box also adopts a flocking process, significantly improving the tactile comfort. Additionally, the new car retains physical buttons for commonly used functions, with their location and size fully considered from an ergonomic perspective, providing users with a superior user experience.

Summary:

Culture is not only the precipitation of history but also the foundation for moving towards the future. Han L and Tang L come with new national fashion design and groundbreaking technology, not only opening a new chapter in the story of BYD and Chinese brands but also adding a splendid touch to the history of the development of Chinese automobiles. With the advent of Han L and Tang L, the Han and Tang families will become a symbol, telling the past of BYD and pointing to the future of Chinese brands!
