On August 28, Yutong Optics unveiled its semi-annual financial report, revealing a robust performance in the first half of the year. The company's total operating revenue soared to RMB 1.782 billion, marking a significant year-on-year increase of 25.87%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company reached RMB 122 million, up 13.65% from the same period last year. Moreover, net profit excluding non-recurring items climbed to RMB 106 million, representing a 3.26% year-on-year rise.

Despite these positive figures, the net cash inflow from operating activities stood at RMB 143 million, experiencing a notable year-on-year decline of 32.45%. The gross profit margin dipped to 20.76%, a decrease of 3.94 percentage points compared to the previous year, ranking 64th among disclosed companies in the same sector. As of the end of the second quarter, the asset-liability ratio stood at 56.10%.

As a frontrunner in the global security lens market, having maintained the top spot in shipments for ten consecutive years, Yutong Optics is actively diversifying into new sectors, including automotive optics and optical communication. Since venturing into the automotive sector in 2021, the company has successfully established a comprehensive product line, encompassing automotive lenses, HUD optical components, and LiDAR optical components. Its subsidiary, Yutong Jiuzhou, has emerged as one of the top three global players in terms of automotive lens shipments.

As of March 2026, Yutong Optics had approximately 9.5 million automotive lenses and around 310,000 automotive optical components on order. The company's plan to raise funds through a private placement of shares, capped at RMB 890 million, has received approval, with a focus on expanding its presence in automotive optics. In the optical communication sector, glass lenses have commenced mass production and shipment, while products such as glass V-grooves, silicon lenses, and MT ferrules are currently in the sample delivery and promotion phase.
