On October 15, according to foreign reports, following NVIDIA's achievement of this milestone in October 2025, Apple Inc. has today become the second company in history to exceed a market capitalization of $5 trillion.
Apple's stock closed at $342.96 today, up 0.5% on Nasdaq. Although the increase was modest, it was enough to push the company's market capitalization past the $5 trillion mark, ultimately closing at $5.01 trillion.

Today's stock market performance was particularly noteworthy, as most stocks in the technology sector declined, with Oracle falling 8.83%, Meta dropping 3.27%, NVIDIA declining 3.16%, Microsoft slipping 1.8%, Amazon decreasing 1.74%, and Google falling 1.68%, among others.
Although Apple's market capitalization has surpassed the $5 trillion mark for the first time, this is not its first time reaching this valuation level. The Wall Street Journal pointed out that today marks the seventh time Apple's market capitalization has surpassed $5 trillion during intraday trading, but the first time it has remained above $5 trillion at the close.
During intraday trading, Apple's stock price reached $347.07 per share, just 0.31% below its record high of $348.15.
Today's milestone achievement comes on the heels of a series of major product releases by Apple, including the iPhone 18 Pro series, iPhone Duo, and the newly announced Apple HomeView, HomePod mini 2, and Apple TV 4K just yesterday.
Additionally, Apple will release its fourth-quarter earnings report on November 2, which will provide a clearer picture of how the company is managing rising component costs and the impact of recent hardware price increases.
Nevertheless, since John Ternus took over as CEO on September 1, Apple's stock price has risen approximately 5% (or 8.2% if including the August 31 closing price of $316.85), and today's milestone further underscores investor confidence in the company under its new leadership.
