Xiaomi SU7 has seen skyrocketing sales, but NIO has caught the wealth.

NIO seems to be on the rise again.

In the past three months, NIO's sales have been constantly rising, not only setting a new monthly sales record, but also becoming the first high-end pure electric brand in the industry to deliver over 500,000 vehicles. This positive trend is in stark contrast to last year's "sluggishness".

The reason why NIO suddenly saw a surge in sales boils down to two main points: one is the limited-time discount of BaaS, essentially a "price cut," and the other is the benefit of Xiaomi SU7's skyrocketing traffic.

NIO is also aware of why it has seen such a surge in sales, so it has not become complacent, but rather tries to capitalize on the momentum to further strengthen its core business. Currently, with the upward trend in sales, NIO is busy expanding overseas operations, seeking incremental growth from external markets, and also busy building its own sub-brand, LeDao, to capture market share in lower-tier markets.

Whether NIO can truly "stabilize" itself by leveraging this wave of growth and finally bidding farewell to the "ups and downs" state is undoubtedly a significant challenge for the company.

The essence of the surge in sales is "price cuts" and "luck".

Without a new generation of products, NIO suddenly saw a surge in sales.

In April, NIO delivered 15,620 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 134.6% and a month-on-month increase of 31.64%, making it the most outstanding among new car companies. By May, NIO delivered 20,544 new vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 233.8% and a month-on-month increase of 31.5%, setting a new record.

As a comparison, NIO's sales in April-May last year were very dismal, selling only 6,000 vehicles per month.

It is worth mentioning that since the launch of its products, NIO has only achieved monthly sales of over 20,000 twice, including this time. The last time was in July last year, when NIO announced a price reduction across its entire line, driving sales up to 20,462 vehicles, but the momentum subsequently weakened.

Additionally, from January to May this year, NIO delivered a total of 66,217 new vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 51%. So far, NIO has become the first high-end pure electric brand in the industry to deliver over 500,000 vehicles.

Why has NIO's sales suddenly exploded? Did it introduce some "black technology"? Or has its product strength been significantly improved? No, NIO is still the familiar NIO, except that the price is no longer the same as before.

One month before the sales surge, specifically on March 14th, NIO announced a new version of its Baas policy.

Specifically, under the Baas model, the battery leasing fee was reduced from 980/1680 yuan per month to 728/1128 yuan per month, and the monthly 80 yuan battery protection fee was
