Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the announcement for the 408th batch of road motor vehicle products. This batch encompasses a wide variety of powertrains, including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Extended Range Electric Vehicles (EREV), and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). Brands such as VOYAH, Harmony Intelligent Mobility, BYD, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen have all made concentrated efforts, offering an array of models including off-road vehicles, luxury sedans, high-performance sports cars, and family SUVs. Let's delve deeper into each one.
VOYAH Zhuiguang S
The VOYAH Zhuiguang S, which has completed its declaration in this batch, swiftly gained popularity thanks to its eye-catching design, earning it the nickname "Farar VOYAH" from netizens. In response, Lu Fang, Chairman of VOYAH, stated that the Zhuiguang S stands on its own merits and does not need to rely on the prestige of foreign luxury brands for its design and aesthetics.
In terms of appearance, the new car boasts a sleek fastback design, complemented by 21-inch sport wheels and yellow performance calipers. It also features frameless doors and semi-hidden door handles, creating a strong sporty vibe. The car's dimensions are 5050mm × 1998mm × 1656mm, with a wheelbase of 3000mm. Compared to the similarly sized XPENG G9L, it offers superior space performance, providing passengers with a more spacious seating experience.

The new car is built on an 800V high-voltage platform and offers single/dual-motor versions, all equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries. It also features Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system and an 896-line LiDAR, supporting functions such as highway Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) and automatic parking.
With its comprehensive capabilities, it has the potential to become a dark horse in the 300,000-yuan domestic sport SUV segment.

Xiangjie G9
The new large SUV from Xiangjie, the Xiangjie G9, has also made its appearance on the MIIT declaration list, positioning itself as a high-end off-road vehicle.
The vehicle features a classic off-road "boxy" design with a strong presence. The front fascia is well-crafted, with a chrome strip running across the entire front, vertical rectangular headlights housing semi-circular and circular light clusters, and the brand logo centered on the grille. The roof features a "watchtower"-style LiDAR.
The new car's dimensions are 5206mm × 2050mm × 1897mm, with a wheelbase of 3160mm, offering both 5-seat and 6-seat layouts. The powertrain includes EREV and BEV versions, equipped with a 1.5T range extender and front/rear dual motors, with battery options of lithium iron phosphate or ternary lithium.
Combining ruggedness and refinement, the Xiangjie G9 takes a different approach compared to the rounded design of the AITO M9.

Luxeed RX
The Luxeed RX is a significant model declared by Harmony Intelligent Mobility in this batch and is the brand's first mid-to-large BEV coupe SUV to break away from numerical naming conventions. It is expected to officially launch this autumn.
The car's exterior design is highly innovative, featuring a plump clamshell hood line, an illuminated hexagonal brand logo, exclusive projection headlights, and a small blue intelligent driving indicator light, with attention to detail. The floating roof and low-slung, aerodynamic body posture exude sportiness. The car's dimensions are 5020mm × 2007mm × 1585mm, with a wheelbase of 3000mm.
The powertrain features Huawei's new-generation electric drive system, available in single-motor and dual-motor versions, matched with the Whale Battery 3.0 platform. The intelligent driving system is equipped with four LiDARs, enabling full-scenario advanced driver-assistance systems.
Some netizens have noted that compared to the "cookie-cutter" design of the Tesla Model Y and the conservative approach of the XPENG G6, the Luxeed RX stands out in terms of design.

Mercedes-Benz BEV C-Class
The domestically produced Mercedes-Benz BEV C-Class is another significant model declared in this batch, positioning itself as a mid-size luxury sedan. It is built on the MB.EA native BEV platform and features an 800V high-voltage electrical architecture.
The new car's exterior adopts Mercedes-Benz's new BEV family design language, with a large shield-shaped grille filled with LED light units, creating a delicate and dreamy visual effect. The body features a fastback coupe posture, muscular wheel arch lines, and hidden door handles to further reduce wind resistance. The overseas version also includes a front trunk for additional storage space. The powertrain features a dual-motor setup, delivering strong power output.
This declaration provides two sets of body parameters, but the real highlight is the 3051mm wheelbase, which is only 43mm shorter than the current fuel-powered Mercedes-Benz E-Class. This means you can enjoy rear-seat space close to that of an E-Class at a C-Class price.

BYD Han
The BYD Han is also included in this batch's declaration list. As the first D-segment flagship sedan from BYD's Dynasty series, it officially challenges joint-venture luxury flagship sedans.
The new car's exterior continues the classic "Dragon Face" design, featuring a large grille (for PHEV versions) or a closed front fascia (for BEV versions), paired with sharp "Dragon Eye" LED headlights, exuding a strong presence. The side profile features long, flowing lines, semi-hidden capacitive door handles, and a panoramic sunroof, enhancing the sense of luxury. The rear features a full-width taillight with an intricate internal structure, paired with a fastback design, creating a dynamic yet stable overall posture.
The car's dimensions are 5257mm × 1999mm × 1510mm, with a wheelbase of 3130mm, and a top speed of 270km/h, positioning it alongside traditional luxury D-segment sedans. The new car offers both BEV and PHEV powertrain versions, with impressive range performance.
="Fangchengbao Fangcheng S Series
Fangchengbao has introduced two new sedans, the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT, marking the brand's first foray into the sedan category. The new models are expected to launch in the third quarter of this year.
The Fangcheng S is positioned as a BEV coupe, featuring a low-slung front end with sharp headlight clusters and side air ducts that enhance its sporty atmosphere. The overall posture is dynamic, with dimensions of 5060mm × 1967mm × 1483mm and a wheelbase of 2960mm.

The Fangcheng S GT adopts a classic shooting brake design, with a more exaggerated and aggressive front fascia, a multi-segment front bumper, and a low-slung body, creating a strong visual impact. The wheelbase remains the same as the standard version, and it also supports optional tow hooks for added practicality.
Both models offer single-motor and dual-motor versions, equipped with second-generation Blade Batteries. With their family-style hardcore design and versatile usage scenarios, the two new models offer distinct styles and plenty of appeal.

Tengshi Z Super Sports Car Series
The declaration information for the Tengshi Z, a new all-electric sports car from the Tengshi brand, has been officially revealed. The new car will be available in three versions: hardtop, convertible, and performance, targeting the million-yuan performance sports car market.
In terms of appearance, all versions come standard with a carbon fiber roof and offer optional configurations such as front hood trim panels, soft tops in different colors that can open and close, rear non-privacy glass, lettering, wheel rims, brake calipers in different colors, hidden door handles, and shelf decorative strips.

In terms of power, all three versions are equipped with a 500kW front motor and dual 340kW rear motors produced by Zhengzhou BYD Auto Co., Ltd., with a total power exceeding 1100kW. The hardtop and convertible versions have a top speed of 300km/h, while the performance version can reach up to 350km/h.

The design styles of the three versions are similar. The hardtop and convertible versions both have body dimensions of 4780mm × 1990mm × 1350mm, while the performance version measures 4780mm × 1990mm × 1300mm. All three versions have a unified wheelbase of 2780mm and curb weights of 2290kg, 2240kg, and 2220kg, respectively.
Whether the Tengshi Z super sports car series can become a symbol of sports cars in this era with its unique charm remains to be seen.

SAIC Volkswagen ID.ERA 8X
The SAIC Volkswagen ID.ERA 8X has officially entered the MIIT declaration list. It is a large five-seat EREV SUV with simple and elegant lines, a steady and timeless overall design, and a family-oriented style.
The new car continues the design language of the ID.9X, featuring a balanced and elegant overall appearance. The front fascia adopts a closed grille, with a full-width LED light strip connecting the headlights on both sides, enhancing visual width. The side profile features simple and flowing lines, with a traditional SUV silhouette and hidden door handles, aligning with mainstream aesthetics. The rear design is simple, with a full-width taillight echoing the front fascia.
The car's dimensions are 5020mm × 1997mm × 1752mm, with a wheelbase of 2970mm, slightly smaller than the ID.9X. The new car is equipped with an EA211 range extender and offers two battery capacity versions, with a combined range exceeding 500km. With its German design expertise and long-range EREV system, this new model is expected to secure a place in the mainstream family EREV SUV market.
