On August 13, as reported by the Sci-Tech Innovation Board Daily, Zhang Xue Motorcycle has garnered a sole investment from Sequoia China. The precise details of this transaction round have yet to be publicly disclosed. Nevertheless, Cao Bin, an initial investor in Zhang Xue Motorcycle and the founding partner of Gaoxin Capital, divulged that the investment amounts to 150 million yuan, with the company's valuation reaching 6 billion yuan post-investment.
Zhang Xue remarked, "The partnership with Sequoia China introduces a long-term collaborator to Zhang Xue Motorcycle. Our team will persist in refining engines and complete motorcycles, continuously testing them on the racing circuit, and heeding authentic user feedback." Zhang Xue further emphasized, "Chinese high-performance motorcycles possess the potential to captivate a global audience. This pursuit demands patience and merits a sustained commitment."
From a valuation of 100 million yuan in the angel round, led by Gaoxin Capital in July 2024, to a valuation of 1.09 billion yuan in the Series A round, spearheaded by Zhejiang Venture Capital in March 2026, Zhang Xue Motorcycle's valuation has skyrocketed nearly 60 times in a mere two years.
This meteoric rise in valuation can be largely attributed to the brand's remarkable performance in the WorldSSP category at the WSBK Portuguese round in March of this year. French rider Debise, aboard the Zhang Xue Motorcycle 820RR-RS, clinched consecutive victories in two races, outpacing international heavyweights such as Ducati and Yamaha. This achievement marked the inaugural triumph for a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer in this category and the first instance of a Chinese brand securing a round win at WSBK. Subsequently, the team notched victories in the Hungarian, Czech, and Italian rounds, amassing six wins in the season as of June.
Retracing the developmental trajectory of Zhang Xue Motorcycle, founder Zhang Xue, who embarked on her journey from modest beginnings, previously established Kaiyue Motorcycle. After departing, she founded Zhang Xue Motorcycle in April 2024 under her own name, with a focus on the mid-to-large displacement high-performance motorcycle market. In just two years, Zhang Xue Motorcycle has experienced exponential growth, transitioning from technological innovation to brand acclaim.

Sequoia China's sole investment in Zhang Xue Motorcycle is not solely based on its impressive accomplishments thus far but also on its future growth prospects. In 2025, Zhang Xue Motorcycle generated revenue of 670 million yuan, with projections ranging between 2.5 billion and 3 billion yuan for 2026. Presently, the company's monthly motorcycle shipments have exceeded 10,000 units, with overseas orders in April alone equating to the total overseas orders of the preceding year.
Regarding production capacity, the company is pressing ahead with the construction of a research and development production base for motorcycles, boasting an annual capacity of 500,000 units. Zhang Xue has also stated that the company's plan for this year includes opening at least 450 stores and targeting 2 billion yuan in sales.
