According to Fast Technology on October 5, recently, Yiche.com released the Top 10 list of sales share of overseas auto brands in the Chinese market in August.
The list shows that Buick ranks first, with 20,000 sales in China and 40,400 global sales in August, accounting for 49.52% of the Chinese market share, close to half of the brand's sales.
Volkswagen follows closely behind, with 170,700 sales in China and 375,900 global sales in August, accounting for 45.42% of the Chinese market share; Volkswagen is also the joint venture brand with the highest sales in the Chinese market.
Tesla ranks third on the list, with 63,500 sales in China in August, accounting for 44.2% of the Chinese market share.
Among traditional luxury car brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, Audi has the highest dependence on the Chinese market, with 47,900 sales in China in August and a market share of 42.22%; while Mercedes-Benz and BMW's market shares are 32.51% and 28.08%, respectively.
Volvo, Nissan, Toyota, Honda, and other automakers rank seventh to tenth, respectively. Due to Honda's declining sales in China, its sales in China in August were 56,900, and its market share in China fell to 19.87%.
