Nezha Auto's Website Goes Offline, Stirring Concern Among Netizens

The official website of Nezha Auto is currently inaccessible, displaying a message that reads, "System Maintenance, Please Try Again Later," upon opening.

Upon receiving news of this on the morning of January 6, reporters attempted to reach Nezha Auto's official customer service hotline multiple times.

However, the call could not be connected.

Later, a reporter posing as a potential car buyer called the Nezha Auto Experience Center, and a salesperson called back to explain that the official website has been undergoing maintenance for a few days and should be back online next week. Nezha Auto resumed production on January 4. The salesperson assured that test drives are proceeding normally, stating, "There are cars available."

Regarding various rumors, the salesperson clarified that the company has been consolidating resources and making significant changes and layoffs, but everything is now back on track.

Nevertheless, a third-party platform, Dongchedi, visited a Nezha dealership in Beijing to verify the situation.

They found the Beijing Nezha dealership open but with no staff present, leaving only one Nezha X on display.

The atmosphere speaks for itself...

If Nezha Auto, in its current precarious state, fails to address these concerns, it may indeed follow in the footsteps of Jiyue Auto and "disband on the spot."

At 16:00, Nezha's official Weibo account issued an official response: "Dear followers, upon receiving user feedback, our technical team immediately repaired the official website, which is now functioning normally. Regarding rumors of bankruptcy circulating on the internet, we have taken screenshots for evidence. The internet is not a lawless land; please do not believe or spread rumors!"

Netizens' concern about Nezha Auto stems from the fact that since November last year, the company has been exposed to large-scale layoffs and factory shutdowns. On December 6, due to company strategy, Zhang Yong was forced to step down as CEO and became a company consultant, with founder and chairman Fang Yunzhou taking on the role of CEO concurrently.

Given these various negative reports, netizens believe that Nezha may not survive this year.

The deeper reason for concern is that on January 4, 2025, Hozon Auto's newly acquired equity was frozen, amounting to 1 billion yuan, with a freeze period from January 3, 2025, to January 2, 2028.

Who wouldn't be concerned after seeing this?

In 2024, we witnessed the collapse of HiPhi, Jiyue, and Dayun. As for Nezha, which is hanging by a thread, whether it can survive remains to be seen.

Netizens are anxious and have rushed to comment on the official Weibo account: "Don't go bankrupt! I just bought a Nezha L."

More realistically, the new energy upsurge is beginning to wane...

In 2025, producing only a few thousand to ten thousand vehicles per month is meaningless. Without a strong backer, even securing financing will be difficult.

A prime example is Tesla, which has stopped emphasizing electric vehicles as the gross margin in the industry tops out at around 20% and will continue to decline as price wars intensify. Even the capital market has turned its back on electric vehicles; otherwise, brands like Jiyue, which haven't even reached the precipice, wouldn't be left without a buyer. Tesla's high valuation now relies on the story of artificial intelligence.

Li Auto also began emphasizing artificial intelligence and large models at the start of this year, precisely because relying solely on the automotive narrative is challenging to capture the capital market's attention.

Therefore, several new energy brands are bound to collapse in 2025.

The outcome will likely be acquisition or merger, or continued financial support from the backing group to maintain appearances. As for emerging forces without a background...

So, when Nezha goes offline, netizens are rightfully anxious!
