Farsight News, August 4th: Ant Afu's official Weibo account has firmly refuted rumors suggesting a leadership change, specifically the alleged removal of Wei He from his top position and the subsequent appointment of Han Luo. The account labeled these speculations as "nothing but fake news."

According to official sources, Wei He, whose real name is Zhang Junjie, has been an integral part of Ant Group since 2014. He played a pivotal role in the inception of Alipay's healthcare business unit. With a steadfast commitment to the digital health domain, Wei He spearheaded the execution of groundbreaking projects, including the introduction of online appointment booking and payment systems, as well as the implementation of electronic healthcare insurance codes. His leadership extended to the research, development, and operational management of the AI health initiative AQ, positioning him as the driving force behind Ant Group's AI health strategy.

In November 2025, Ant Group elevated its Digital Medical and Health Business Division to the Health Business Group, with Wei He taking the helm as President of the Business Group and assuming the role of Vice President of Ant Group, reporting directly to CEO Han Xinyi. By December of the same year, he orchestrated the rebranding of the AQ initiative to Ant Afu, established a comprehensive AI health business framework within Ant Group, and guided the team in developing AI-driven health service products tailored for the broader public.

The swirling rumors regarding a potential leadership shake-up at Ant Afu emerged amidst Alibaba's proactive restructuring of its AI-centric business units.

On March 16th, Alibaba unveiled the ATH Business Group, aimed at orchestrating the entire lifecycle of Token creation, distribution, and utilization. On April 8th, the tech giant established a Technology Committee at the corporate level and elevated the Tongyi Lab to the Tongyi Large Model Business Division. More recently, Alibaba consolidated three products—QoderWork, Wukong, and MuleRun—into the newly formed Qianwen Office, now under the leadership of DingTalk's newly appointed CEO, Chen Yusen.

Currently, Alibaba is channeling its efforts into the Agentic AI strategy, constructing a unified software-hardware infrastructure anchored by the Tongyi Qianwen large model, Pingtouge's in-house developed chips, and Alibaba Cloud.
